This application is a personal-use Google OAuth client. It exists for a single purpose: to let its owner, Érico Andrei, copy his own Google Drive files onto his own computer using rclone, an open-source file synchronisation tool. It is not a commercial product, it has no users other than its owner, and it is not offered to the public. The application requests the drive.readonly scope, which permits it to list and download files and does not permit it to create, modify, rename or delete anything in Google Drive. No other Google API scopes are requested, and no other Google services are accessed.
All data retrieved through this application travels directly from Google's servers to hardware owned and operated by its owner. There is no intermediary server, no hosted backend, and no third party of any kind in the path. Nothing is transmitted onward, sold, shared, published, or used for advertising, profiling, analytics or machine-learning training. The downloaded copy of the Drive contents is stored on an encrypted volume; the OAuth refresh token that authorises access is stored in a permission-restricted configuration file on the same machine and is never transmitted anywhere except to Google, in order to obtain new access tokens. The application collects no telemetry and keeps no logs beyond ordinary local records of which files were transferred and when.
Because the application serves only its owner, there is no other person whose data it processes and no account for anyone else to manage. Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately invalidates the stored token and stops all further access. The local copy of the data is retained for as long as its owner wishes to keep a backup and is deleted by deleting those files. Questions about this policy may be sent to [email protected].
